About the role
We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Houston tax and accounting team in person at the Galleria office. You will prepare individual and business returns, keep client books clean, and work shoulder to shoulder with senior CPAs who will invest in your path toward licensure. What you’ll do
- 01 Prepare individual (1040) and business (1120-S, 1065) tax returns for review.
- 02 Maintain client bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations in QuickBooks.
- 03 Assist with Texas Franchise Tax and Public Information Report filings.
- 04 Support senior CPAs on planning engagements and audit responses.
- 05 Keep client documentation organized and filing-ready year-round.
What we’re looking for
- 01 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA-track candidates strongly encouraged.
- 02 1-3 years of public accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- 03 Proficiency with QuickBooks and comfort learning new tax software.
- 04 Strong organizational habits and attention to detail.
- 05 Based in or willing to relocate to the greater Houston area.
